Playing MKV files
Hey im having this problem playing MKV files. When ever i try play the movie i get this error "Windows Media Player C00D11B1". That error is to do with my sound drivers, but all is ok there.

I have the latest divix codec installed

Unsure of what to do now?

I see you've already solved this but I hear http://www.cccp-project.net/ is pretty great, although I haven't used it myself, I just use Mplayer 8)

Thanks to Oz this issue has been solved.

Shark 007 codec pack fixed it all.

As for VLC, not so keen.

For some reason i just love wmp. always have always will.

I know the feeling, I have VLC which never lets me down when all else fails, but WMP is my true love for no apparent reason

Only problem I have with VLC is playing Real Media files. Worst. Format. Ever. But I have this massive Dragonball/Z/GT collection to watch and they're all in RMVB format lol

So much lag to play the HD movies in VLC. The lag is too much. You will die.

Btw, that thanks really goes to DW - and you just didn't even know it - for posting about that codec pack in the Windows 7 thread a while back.
