I used Maya to model the dreadnought then used this as a reference for a drawing which was then scanned and altered in photoshop. That's some cool stuff man, wish I had that sorta artistic talent. Your Maya model matches the real model pretty closely too.
Edit: I forgot to ask, how long did that take you to create all up? |

I started it in the Christmas holidays, but i stopped and started it all throughout the year due to study, other projects, etc, so its hard to say. It did take ages tho... I'd also like to note that I'm not very happy with the way it turned out looking rather grainy in parts (which is due to the fact that it was drawn in pencil and whenever i scan pencil it looks terrible), i also initially intended it to be in color, but i just don't have the time to colorize it (plus I'm sick of it).
