Google Chrome 3
I was a little surprised today to see my Google Chrome had updated itself to version 3 (don't remember allowing this or anything.... )

Some new improvements include:

Speed Improvements: Chrome 3 is faster than any previous stable release on both the V8 and SunSpider benchmarks. (Google's calling it a 150% increase in Javascript performance since their first beta.) In the current Chrome 4 dev release, Chrome continues to outshine other browsers on most speed benchmarks.

The New Tab Page: Again, this is only new to those of you who've been sticking to stable releases, but the new tab page is more customizable, allowing you to rearrange thumbnails via drag and drop and pin thumbnails you want to keep around permanently.

Better Omnibox: Firefox has its awesome bar, Chrome has its omnibox. As of the stable Chrome 3 release, the omnibox adds contextual icons to help you see whether autocomplete results are suggest sites, searches, bookmarks, or sites from your history.

HTML5: Google has been pushing the envelope with what developers can do with HTML5, the new standard set of tools in the next evolution of HTML (the backbone of web pages). In Chrome 3 stable, HTML5 is standard—meaning support for video, audio, and canvas tags that bring a rich web experience to your browser without the need for third-party plug-ins like Flash.
Themes: We've highlighted a handful of the great new Google Chrome themes already, but now they're available to the stable channel users, as well.

I personally dont use Chrome, I dont trust google. They track my internet usage.

Try this as an alternative, Iron.

http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron.php

It is a very fast browser built on Chromium. So is pretty much chrome minus the internet tracking and googleness.

Do you use google search? (they track that)

Also, looking through some of the points they make on why Iron is better than Chrome, they have a valid case to make a browser that is more privacy oriented, but these criticisms are scratching the bottom of the barrel...

"Chrome creates a unique ID through which a user can be theoretically identified"
Did you know that right now, your computer is using an 'IP' address, and this can theoretically be used to identify you, or kidnap your family!

"Chrome remembers up to the second exactly when the software was installed"
If you open control panel and look at add/remove programs, you will see that windows keeps track of the install date for every program, and even how frequently you use it!

"Depending on the configuration, each time you put something in the address line, this information is sent to Google to provide suggestions"
So your telling me that, if I've enabled this feature, Google will use my input to return a search result! This is an Outrage!

"Depending on the configuration, if you have typed a false address in the adress bar, this is sent to Google and you get an error message from Google's servers"
An error from Google servers! Wake up sheeple!

"Depending on the configuration, details about crashes or failures are sent Google's servers"
Because God help us if Google were ever to use this data to improve their code!

Also note how these are all 'depending on the configuration' or 'You can turn it off'
