The compatibility pack really should have been deployed with office update...
Once you get used to 2007, it really is great. All my clients that have it love it. Documents just look better somehow, and I love Calibri as a default font.
Putting 2007 onto all the PC's at Gisborne Intermediate worked nicely, just uses up more hard drive space than 2003, we had PIII's and celerons of that era with 256 RAM that run 2007 (albeit with a customized install provided by Microsofts office administrative install and customization feature) with not really much performance difference. And I'm told that 2007 document format stores files especially media rich files in much less space and is generally better.
2007's auto picture 3D, reflection, shadow effects are amazing and you can make really professional and 'polished' documents in very little effort.
After switching from using Access 2003 to 2007, I could never go back. Access combos the ribbon interface with Tabs which is awesome.
